Maintenance Mechanic

Duties include but are not limited to; Diagnoses malfunctions and makes repairs on air conditioning systems and all related pumps, fans motors and associated piping. Troubleshoots and makes repairs on the fire alarm system which includes the maintenance and replacement of smoke detectors, duct detectors, pull stations, and strobes to maintain the system in a working manner at all times. Troubleshoots circuits, controls and systems to locate, repair and replace defective components. Inspects and repairs the primary and secondary electrical distributor systems. Performs periodic maintenance and repairs to complicated high-pressure steam distribution systems and piping. Expands existing wiring services and systems by installing controls, magnetic starters, thermostats, transformers, sockets, fixtures, outlets and switches. Makes repairs and alterations of heating systems to include replacement of pressure relief and reducing valves Performs installations, repairs and preventive maintenance for audio paging, and nurses call systems, TV antenna systems, fire alarm and all security notification systems. Performs installations, repairs and preventive maintenance for TV antenna systems and security notification systems. Perform carpentry related repairs and maintenance such as ceiling tile replacements, ceiling grid, doors, doors hardware, locks, closures, windows, floors, furniture, and walls. Perform plumbing related maintenance such as bathroom fixtures, eye wash, radiators, readings of water systems and bulk oxygen. Work Schedule:

Experience:

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Incumbent is required to climb ladders, reach and lift heavy loads of over forty pounds and walk long distances in a regular days work. Incumbent is required to perform a great amount kneeling, bending and climbing. Employee must be able to wear safety and protective clothing and /or equipment presented for the work setting. Incumbent is required to work both indoors and outdoors, in poorly lighted conditions, in all types of weather. Incumbent is required to work in most adverse conditions (during an emergency) in areas which are noisy and exposed to sewage, gases and fumes. Works in all areas of the Medical Center, including contagious disease and/or contaminated areas. Incumbent shall be provided and is required to wear universal protection items, such as caps, gloves, gown, masks etc.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
