Air Cond Equip Mechanic

Maintain 2,100 ton Centralized Air Conditioning system. Such equipment will consist of pneumatic controls, valves, induction units, air handling units, heating, cooling, exhausting, humidification, and other affiliated equipment. Approach defective equipment, trouble shoot problem, and then make necessary repairs. Repairs will consist of the replacing of defective components such as thermostatic expansion valve capillary tubes, high and low pressure controls, pressure regulating valves, solonoid valves, relays, pneumatic valves and controls, compressor parts, evaporators, and other components affiliated with air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Maintenance will consist of scheduled lubrication and cleaning replacing of filters, daily inspections, and the detecting and elimination of potential break downs. Install, maintain and repair refrigeration equipment. This will consist of:
walk-in, reach-in and domestic refrigerators, bainmarie units, ice machines, water towers, freezers, refrigerated medical equipment, water coolers, air conditioners and other refrigeration equipment. Perform all other duties affiliated with air conditioning, heating and refrigeration, as required. Work Schedule:

Employee will be required to lift and move heavy objects including machinery and equipment to work in practically all positions, under, over and inside equipment and to work on ladders, scaffolds, catwalks, etc. Working Conditions:
Employee will work in both hot and cold areas, occasionally with poor lighting and ventilation. Will work both inside and out in all types of weather as occasion requires. From very hot tunnels and chases to cold exterior work in winter. In dusty, greasy and dirty areas causing soiling of skin and clothing. In noisy areas where required to accomplish repairs. Exposed to welding fumes and noxious odors in pits, sumps and other areas. Will work at nominal heights, on occasions, slippery or unstable surfaces, and with all cutting tools used by trade. Experience:
