Addictions Counselor 2 (Kingsboro ATC)

The AC2 is a member of the clinical team. Responsibilities for the counselor in this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
o Functions as a lead member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. o Works with more difficult and challenging patients. o Provides individual and group therapy and facilitates a variety of clinical activities. o Presents/conducts lectures, videos, psycho-educational groups, and specialty groups. o Functions as a primary counselor, managing all facets of clinical services to patient caseload. o Intervenes when patients are in crisis and utilizes clinical skills to problem solve. o Transports patients as needed using NYS vehicle. o Takes lead role in interviewing patients to complete various assessments; performs Psycho-Social Assessment as part of individual treatment plan development; monitors patients' compliance with Treatment Goals. o Completes forms, documents, and records efficiently, including discharge planning, while adhering to all applicable confidentiality regulations. o Provides or coordinates all facets of patients' care. o Provides consultation to less senior staff. o Participates in activities to improve patient care and facility operations. o Authors procedurally correct patient records. o Is involved in patient follow-up. o Uses a computer proficiently for patient documentation and other required communication. o Completes other tasks to meet ATC needs. o Obtains clinical information and contacts patient's insurance company to obtain preauthorizations for payment and files appeals on denials of preauthorization. o Other duties as assigned

Salary Range:
From $56604 to $71980 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Currently employed as an Addictions Counselor 2 OR Current registration as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in NYS and one-year post-CASAC professional counseling experience and reachable on the Addictions Counselor 2 eligible list OR eligible for transfer. Applicants must possess current registration as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York State. Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. Failure to maintain certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
