Ideal candidates for this role must possess a deep understanding of grade level appropriate content knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons day in and day out. Key
Responsibilities:
Operate professionally, in accordance with our Operating Values and Staff Handbook
Provide a range of instructional, management, and assessment strategies to meet the different needs of students
Create thoughtful and engaging unit and lesson plans daily
Collaborate with colleagues across content areas and grade levels
Submit lesson plans by the Thursday prior to instruction
Complete progress reports and report cards in accordance with the schedule
Attend and actively participate in all meetings including PLCs, grade level meetings, and PD sessions
Participate in creating, revising, administering, and grading assessments
Provide tutoring to small student groups as required
Conduct parent-teacher conferences as needed, as well as on-going parent communication
Present current student work on bulletin boards and in the classroom
Ensure the safety of students at all times
Assist with non-instructional supervision of students, such as arrival/dismissal, hallway monitoring, substitute teaching, lunch and playground duty, or supervision of extracurricular activities
Assist in moving students to proper locations during fire drills, and sports or arts programs
When absent, ensures all substitute plans are clear and thorough
Keep accurate and organized records of student information
Help support planning for and attend Curriculum Nights and Back to School Night
Qualifications:
Commitment to working in underserved communities
New York State Teaching Certification, strongly preferred
2
years of teaching experience, strongly preferred
Master's Degree in Education, strongly preferred
Salary:
Competitive and commensurate with experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
