Assignment Capsule
Humana is seeking a Self -Starting Individual to sell the Humana Medicare Advantage Plans as well as traditional insurance products. This will require building relationships with Humana s customers, external business partners and within the community.
Meet with eligible participants with the goal of enrollment and presenting product information for Medicare Advantage Private Fee for Service (PFFS), Medicare PPO and HMO plans
Market long-term care, life insurance, and other specialty products for the senior population to sell and promote Medicare products.
Conduct one-on-one and group presentations.
Generate your own sales leads from various sources.
Apply strong sales acumen skills in generating and closing leads.
Role Essentials
High School Diploma
Active NY Health & Life Insurance License
Bilingual skills English/Chinese or English/Mandarin. Must be able to speak, read and write in English and one of the following languages without limitations or assistance.
Motivated self-starter, with excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficient in Desktop Tools/Microsoft Outlook & Mobile Applications
This role is part of Humana s Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
Role Desirables
Associate s or Bachelor s Degree
Sales experience in a managed healthcare setting
Reporting Relationships
You will report to a Sales Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
Additional Information
Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
