A Storage Management Architect is wanted in Brooklyn, NY for a 12-month, corp-to-corp engagement with a possibility of renewal. US citizenship required.
The ideal candidate will be a very high level NetApp storage architect that has experience in both 7mode and cDOT environments on the Enterprise level. This role will be responsible for the design and layout of the environment, and will be required to be hands on with day-to-day operations and providing consultative direction for the team in regards to NetApp.
This position will be very tenured in their career with a mature understanding of both the technical aspect of this role as well as the business impact to the customer. It requires experience with handling both politically charged environments and sitting at the executive table to position NetApp solutions within the environment.
At minimum, the candidate will have their cDOT specialist certification and hands on experience in a lab environment. Any candidates without the above will not be considered.
Aside from the NetApp architecture experience, this candidate MUST have experience with SnapLock, Virtualization - VSC, etc. (VCP 4 at minimum, but prefer VCP 5), Core Networking (Cisco and fibre channel), Expertise in SnapManager product Suite with emphasis on SME and SMSQL and OnCommand Product Suite.
Required Certifications:
NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)
NetApp Certified SAN Implementation Engineer (NCIE-SAN)
NetApp Certified Backup and Recovery Engineer (NCIE-B&R)
Candidate should have 10-15 years experience in the following:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to exchange information with team members, systems administrators, NetApp management, and the customer
The Ability to articulate and sell the storage solution architecture to both the business and other technical teams (application, DB, Networking, etc)
Design SAN/NAS Infrastructure
Expert on Data OnTap 7mode
Design NetApp Protection Software : SnapMirror, SnapProtect, OnCommand Unified Manager, etc.
Design NetApp Protection Software : SnapLock
OnCommand Product Suite Expertise
Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environment
Virtualization - Extensive experience with VMware (example VSC)
Core Networking Cisco
Candidates should have 2-5 years experience in the following:
VCP 4 (minimum)
Expert on Clustered Data OnTap
cDOT architecture and implementation deployment
cDOT implementation using 7mode transition tool (7mtt)
