Responsibilities
PAGNY is currently seeking a full time Director of Anatomic Pathology
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for direction and operation of the Anatomic Pathology Service
- Establishment and implementation of written standard operating procedures
- Manage compliance with all applicable regulartions and requirements
- Assess and manage competency of Anatomic Pathology Staff
- Supervision of Pathologist Assistant, Cytotechnologists and active one to one teaching of medical students.
- Serve as Assistant Director of Cytology
- Maintain a direct clinical workload to include examination of specimens, performance of autopsies, direct communication of results to appropriate medical staff
Qualifications
Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- Must hold valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York
- Minimum 5 years experience in clinical practice with previous supervisory experience
- Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and prior experience educating residents, fellows and medical students
