DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL SERVICES

The Director of Social Services is responsible for the program design, management and supervision of all aspects of social services provided.
They must insurer the continuing provision of casework services and the overall planning for the youth and families in our care.
The Director of Social Services is responsible for the coordination and the delivery of clinical services.
They provide supervision and training to all social service staff.
The director utilizes and coordinates the different services of the program as they pertain to the individual plan developed for each family.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises the activities of the Case Planners and is responsible for the proper and effective performance of each worker's assigned duties.
Oversees all cases of the Social Services Staff.
Conducts individual supervision with each case worker and provides advice, appraisal, interpretations, directions and recommendations on cases in process.
Documents all supervisory sessions.
Assures that all Program services are efficiently distributed and used for the benefit of residents and families.
Periodically evaluates the performance and progress of each case planner.
Approves and supervises Social Service staff's work schedules to assure efficient utilization of time.
Examines and evaluates staff's Progress Notes and record keeping practices in the light of the Program requirements.
States and explains agency personnel policies.
Coordinates the duties and responsibilities of case planners in the event it becomes necessary for the Director to carry the duties of the position.
Coordinates the aftercare of discharged residents with the case planners and supervisors.
Advise and collaborate on discharge plans for all residents to be sure they are done in a timely manner and include the best resources available.
Assigns all intakes to the various Treatment Teams, assumes overall responsibility for the intake process and statistical record keeping.
Chairs bi-weekly treatment team meetings.
Attends all FTC Conferences.
Overall responsibility for compliance with regulatory standards pertaining to casework management.
Includes design, implementation and management of internal and external tracking systems.
Responsible for orientation and training of Social Service Department staff.
Monitors and evaluates the Service functions through Quality and Appropriateness Reviews.
Serves as a liaison with referring agencies.
CRP cabinet member and works cooperatively with all other department heads.
Serves as liaison to all outside service providers.
Works with various adult systems to secure long-term placements for youth.
Is available to respond to emergencies/crises 24/7.
Serves as back-up to the Program Director.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Interfaces with casework staff, program management staff, quality improvement staff and other administrative support departments.
Interfaces with ACS Family Team Conference Coordinators as needed; interfaces with youth, family and community members (including ACS staff, law guardians and their representatives, other invited guests) during FTC meetings.
Be team players, working with Administrative and Managerial staff as well as Supervisory and Line staff.
Have a strong sensitivity to cultural differences present among staff and clients within our organization.
Possess a strong belief in people's ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families.
Ability to set limits and maintain helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately.
Masters of Social Work.
Licensed Master Social Worker.
Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
Driver's license preferred.
Must be available to provide 24/7 crisis intervention and administrative assistance.
Applicant should be fully vaccinated against or willing to be vaccinated for COVID-19.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
