Director of Billing
Ultimate Care NY, a leading provider of home health care services, is seeking a Home Care Director of Billing to join our team.
For the past 20 years, Ultimate Care has been supporting thousands of New Yorkers through home health care services that meet their tailored needs.
As the Director of Billing, you will play a key role in ensuring our services are affordable and accessible for our clients while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
You will work in a fast-paced environment with a dedicated and passionate team committed to providing the highest quality care.
Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of billing and reimbursement for home health care services provided to clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all billing-related information Manage the collection of all outstanding balances, including working with insurance companies and patients to resolve disputes and discrepancies Develop and implement policies and procedures for billing and collections, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations Analyze billing data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement, and make recommendations to senior management accordingly Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless coordination of billing-related activities with other functions of the organization Maintain a thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance regulations, and participate in ongoing training and education related to billing and reimbursement Monitor industry trends and developments related to billing and reimbursement, and make recommendations for changes in policies and procedures as needed Requirements Must have CHHA/skilled billing experience Experience in billing in Texas or Florida markets (preferred not required) 5
years of experience in healthcare billing and collections, preferably in a home health care or related setting Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance regulations and billing procedures Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and interact effectively with clients, insurance companies, and regulatory agencies Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and other financial analysis tools Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive billing information.
