Job PurposeReporting to the US Financial Integrity Team (FIT) Director, the Manager of Data Analysis is responsible for ensuring that data analytic adoption and capabilities are embraced effectively across the FIT Team and Corporate Audit.
Critical areas of focus:
oAct as a Business Relationship Manager, to ensure that technology nomenclature is digestible for key audit stakeholders oIdentify new technologies, analytics, and automations that can be incorporated by FIT and Corporate Audit oProvide a common source of governance for the data plan within National Grid's audit program Key Accountabilities Technical aspects of Analytics and Business Intelligence tools Manage visual link analysis tools to uncover potential fraud or hidden connections Manage development and implementation of Predictive Modeling and analytical projects Responsible for managing fraud prevention tools Conduct proactive statistical studies to build predictive models using statistical and programming language tools such as SQL, R, Python Measure and monitor fraud for the purpose of statistically quantifying risk and opportunity, escalating findings as needed Manage big data projects and report findings to Director and liaison with internal business partners Identify and explore new approaches, data sources/vendors and potential partnerships to support existing and new programs Manage IT project that may include the implementation of systems/database for FIT Responsible for driving growth, development, and performance of the analysts on the team Oversee analytic development, provide guidance on advanced use cases, coach data scientists and analyst, and perform quality reviews of the output QualificationsoPreferred Certifications from ACFE or related field oRequired Bachelor's degree or preferred Master's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related fieldoMinimum 5 years' relevant work experience in Data Analytics, Fraud Investigations, need strong technical knowledge, Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, SQL, or Python oDeep expertise in data acquisition, scripting, and visualization, and advanced topics such as unstructured data and machine learning oExcellent listening, verbal, written and presentation communication skills - interactive listening, able to deliver complex messages, build strong working relationship across the business and influence others, including senior stakeholders.
oStrong project management skills and/or track record of planning and leading projects.
oGreat leadership skills, including experience in identifying and developing high-performing talent.
oStrong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
oUses a data-driven, digital, modern audit approach; continuously advocates for the use of technology and data.
oSolid capability of working with a team in a fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
