Job Purpose Influence the evolution of the regulatory framework for New York's wholesale power market to advance the State's clean energy transition, with a focus on unlocking capital investment for the National Grid while also ensuring reliable and affordable electric service to our customers.
This position serves as the National Grid's primary representative in New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) stakeholder meetings.
Key Accountabilities Track and influence wholesale electric market design and regulatory activity of the NYISO through participation in various stakeholder committees.
Stakeholder engagement with market participants from all sectors in New York's wholesale electric market.
Coordination with other New York electric transmission owners to advocate for policy and regulatory positions at the federal, regional, and state levels.
Serve as key conduit of information on NYISO regulatory developments for Strategy, Clean Energy Development, Regulatory, and Transmission Planning teams at National Grid.
Participation in internal, cross-functional regulatory strategy efforts related to achievement of the Company's clean energy vision.
Perform research on regulatory developments in other regional markets to inform and support National Grid's positions in its own jurisdictions.
Foundational Experience Requirements Excellent influencing, negotiating, and communication skills.
Proven ability to build and effectively manage working relationships with colleagues, industry stakeholders, and regulatory staff at all levels.
Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complicated stakeholder processes.
Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate objectives, positions, and asks both verbally and in written form.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in public policy, economics, finance, business, environmental science, engineering, or other relevant field; or equivalent work experience.
Familiarity and experience with restructured wholesale electric markets.

years of relevant work experience.
A relevant advanced degree/certificate is preferred.
Travel as required (.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
