Adaptive Equipment Specialist

Will work collaboratively with the Physical and Occupational Therapy Departments when a completed clinical assessment indicates the need for equipment. Once the equipment is identified, will either design and fabricate the equipment or assist the PT/OT in procuring prefabricated equipment to meet the identified need. Will assist with the delivery and installation of assistive technology devices. o Will assist the PT/OT departments with staff training on assistive technology devices. o Will complete and document bed inspections in EHR per local DDSO policy. Will complete any necessary modifications or accessory installations needed to bring the bed to compliance. o Will maintain an adaptive equipment workshop, back up equipment (including mechanical lifts), and safety items. o Daily travel throughout the DDSO will be required.

Salary Range:
From $49202 to $62806 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Two years of experience in designing and manufacturing assistive technology devices for individuals with disabilities, or two years of full performance level experience in carpentry or a related trade, one year of which must have been in the designing and manufacturing of assistive technology devices for individuals with disabilities.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
