Family HealthCare & Cardiac Center, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its office based AAAASF Certified Vascular Cath lab.
Responsibilities include:
Predominantly working in cath lab in an OR and Recovery Interpret patient information Coordinate patient care with other health professionals Monitor patient's conditions and assess patient needs to provide optimal care during operation Scrub in as needed in our Operating Room Nurse runners to assist our surgeons and scrub nurses before, during and after surgery to ensure seamless surgery, sterile operations Working in the recovery room monitoring patient condition and post procedure risks Provide treatment according to doctor's order Explains procedures and treatments to patients to ensure understanding, gain cooperation and alleviate apprehension Acts as patient advocate ensuring patients' respect, dignity and confidentiality remains intact throughout their time in our care Requirements:
Current RN License (in good standing, without disciplinary investigation or actions) Proven experience as a registered nurse Excellent knowledge of theatre operations - scrubbing in, sterile environment, surgical equipment preparation and break down, patient recovery room monitoring and rehabilitation.
Excellent knowledge of emergency care - MUST be currently up to date with CPR and ALS training In-depth knowledge of Infection control policy and standard protocol - Maintaining sterile environment, disposing of biohazardous waste correctly, disposing of sharps equipment correctly, up to date with all current COSHH guidelines.
A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills Able to apply ADPIE patient centered planning to all instances of patient care Responsible, compassionate and patient Does not allow stressful situations to deter them from the task at hand Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills Excellent problem-solving skills Fluent Spanish Speaking preferred Available Tuesdays, and every Saturday Job Types:
