Communications Coordinator

A New York State Senator is seeking a highly motivated Communications Coordinator to join a collaborative, dynamic, and dedicated team. The primary responsibilities will be to oversee communications, manage the public relations aspect of the district, and write and deliver press releases and newsletters- print and digital. The Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Chief of Staff to articulate the senator's vision clearly. This dynamic role will include the following
Responsibilities:
oDevelop publications such as newsletters, press releases, email announcements, social media, videos, and special projects oDetermine the communications strategy and execute delivery oDevelop positive relationships with media representatives, and maximize opportunities oProofing and editing of documents from other staff as required oMonitor senator's official email account and office calendar oAttend meetings as necessary oAssist with constituent services as necessary oAssist at office events oOther tasks as assigned by Senator or Chief of Staff Salary range is $50,000 to $55,000, commensurate with education and experience. Salary Range:
From $50000 to $55000 Annually
Minimum Qualification
The most qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:
oBachelor's Degree (with a preference in communications) oAt least two years of experience preparing official communications oContacts or experience working with the media in New York City; oExperience in managing, assisting, and support for communications campaigns, including strategy, messaging, collateral (blogs, success stories, digital content, etc.), public engagement, constituent outreach, media relations, and social media; oExcellent written, oral communication, organizational, coordination, and computer skills oThe ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment oMust have a valid NYS Driver's License and personal transportation to travel to events at all times This position will require travel to meetings and events, and evening and weekend work schedules will be necessary.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
