Responsibilities: Will review and analyze subpoenas and other legal process to identify possible money laundering, terrorist financing, corruption and trade sanctions issues. Escalate subpoenas and other legal process, as appropriate, for investigation and heightened reviews by Global Financial Crimes Compliance AML Investigations, Global Security and Investigations and other SAR filing investigative units. Confer with Global Financial Crimes Legal and Litigation attorneys, as necessary. Liaise with law enforcement, as appropriate, regarding the nature and scope of investigations that led to the issuance of subpoenas. Support special projects (long-term and short-term) arising from subpoena reviews and escalations.
Qualification Requirements: A J.D. degree. 2
years of legal experience. AML/financial crimes experience in a financial institution and/or regulatory agency preferred. Knowledge and understanding of financial institution business and regulatory requirements. Knowledge and understanding of BSA/AML, OFAC, and FCPA laws/regulations. Familiarity with use of technology in AML, OFAC and anti-corruption compliance programs. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently on multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills. Team player with strong interpersonal skills who can collaborate with legal and non-legal staff. Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze legal process. Should be a good analytical thinker. Excellent creative problem-solving skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
