Part-Time Technical Support Specialist for Office of Career Services (College Assistant)
Candidate will interact with students/alumni, employers, staff, and vendors via phone, e-mail, and web on a daily basis. Key responsibilities include providing technical education and assistance to clients in their use and application of career services computer systems; acting as system administrator for the enhancement and maintenance of the career services computer system; conducting daily computer system checks to ensure data quality/integrity and performance optimization; and expanding the use of the data management system to facilitate a source of centralized data for all users.
Main responsibilities include assisting client users, liaising with vendors, maintaining online database, and running reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Position Requirements:
Ability to analyze and solve problems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Project management and team skills. Ability to work in a data-intensive environment.
Education
High school diploma required; two-year degree in information technology (or equivalent) preferred.
Experience / Technical
Proficiency and high technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications, data management experience. Must be proficient in Excel, Access, and Word.
Knowledge of Symplicity is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
