seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Human Resources- Benefits Intern to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. The intern will be responsible for creating and implementing a categorization and labeling system, converting hard copy documents to electronic versions, and establishing a purging schedule for archived files based on company and regulatory retention requirements. The intern will also create, maintain and categorize a filing system for documents and related materials. Phoenix House is one of the nation's largest non-profit organizations devoted to the treatment and prevention of substance abuse. Our Brooklyn Center is home to both a NYC Department of Education accredited school and a residential substance abuse treatment program. Our clients live, learn, and work in an environment specifically tailored to meet their needs. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION:
o High school diploma/GED required
o Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate program and have earned enough credit hours to be considered at Junior or Senior level
Experience:
o This is an entry level role. Interest in Human Resources field needed
o Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
o Strong organizational skills
o Ability to communicate effectively with exceptional written and oral communication skills
o Independent worker, self-starter, detail oriented and accurate This is a paid internship.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
